Hello,
According to Dan Buettner, the founder of the Blue Zones, where people live the longest, "Most of us have more control over how long we live than we think. In fact, experts say that if we adopted the right lifestyle, we could add at least ten good years and suffer a fraction of the diseases that kill us prematurely. This could mean an extra quality decade of life!" Not just another 10 years being ill and/or in pain, but potentially 10 or more extra active years in good health! This is my mission, passion and my gift to you! To help you with everything I can, to bring you closer to this goal. So the eat2livelong movement is not just about food, but much more than that. It's a lifestyle, a way of thinking and living.
My Story
My journey towards a healthier life started about 20 years ago, when I moved to the US from Hungary. I have noticed that the food supply is very different here. I had a hard time finding good quality ingredients. I have also noticed, that a lot more people are struggling with allergies, diabetes, cancer and their weight, that I have ever seen before. Having just finished a major in journalism, I started to ask questions and look for ways to explain this huge difference from where I came from. Back home we would cook at home almost every single day, and would get most of our groceries from the local, open air farmers market (open 7 days a week), the local bakery and our garden. Our grocery stores were mostly empty, because of the political situation in the country. There were no fast food chains and we hardly ate out. So all I know about cooking, comes from home. I am not a chef, but I do have a passion for making good tasting, quality food that will help you live a longer and healthier life.
Fourteen years ago I came across a book, called The Blue Zones, lessons for living longer, from the people who've lived the longest. I was mesmerized. I never liked diets, because they come and go and it's hard to stick to them for a long time. But learning from the people who actually made it to 100 and more, I can absolutely get behind. Most of them eat a mostly whole food and plant based diet. Very little meat and dairy, lots of coffee, tea and some red wine. They move naturally, mostly walk or bike. So I decided to launch the Eat2livelong Walking Club! Join me twice a week, and let's go for a walk! (on warm days we will also do this with some grounding)
I will also bring the best longevity inspired dishes to your home, office or child's birthday party! Most of the dishes are inspired by The Blue Zones, Plantiful Kiki, Forks Over Knives, Mediterranean cooking and some Hungarian influences.
Based on countless research articles and my studies, I also firmly believe in preventing and reversing certain diseases with certain life style changes. The impact of just a few small shifts in ones life can be enormous. This is why I am offering the Accountability Coaching Service. I will be in your corner and cheering you on until you reach your goals!
